Hapaot Center offers emotional therapy treatments to children alogside their parents, using dyadic developmental psychotherapy.
Dyadic developmental psychotherapy is the leading method for emotional therapy for young children. The dyadic treatment treats dyads (pairs) of parent and child, based on the understanding that the parent-child relationship is a critical factor in the child's emotional, social and intellectual development.
Dyadic developmental psychotherapy has two main purposes: first, to understand the child's difficulties and needs by observing play and interaction in the therapy room and using this understanding to help the child cope. Second, to help parents better respond to their children's changing needs.
